A couple of us are interested in getting a book club started for teens. We did this last year for a bit and I had a great time. I don't have a meeting place settled for sure, but if enough people are interested we'll meet at the First Church of the Nazarene on 1000 road on (or around) the first Wednesday of each month from 2:30-4:00. Band will begin on September 9th. Mr. Swischer will audition kids on August 26th that want to be in the intermediate or advanced level this year. Beginning level doesn't audition. If you need audition information but didn't get the email, please let me know.
All levels of band will meet on Friday mornings at Hume Music Store.
Beginning - 9am Intermediate - 10am Advanced - 9:45
Orchestra will meet at the following days and times at Hume Music Store:
Beginning - Mondays at 2:30 - we need more kids in order to have this level Intermediate - Tuesdays at 3:30 - new kids are welcome - audition required
Choir will meet on Friday mornings at Hume Music Store at 11 am. If there are enough kids to break them into levels, there will be two groups - one meeting at 11am the other meeting at noon.
I am sorry for the delay in the final decision concerning days and times. Mr. Swischer wasn't able to work in a third level this year as originally planned. The advanced level will have a different director for this year.
All groups have a tuition of $90.00 per semester. We are asking that each family pay $5.00 towards the administration costs that come up during the year. This money will go toward photocopying, music, and any supplies that are needed by the directors. This is a once-a-year fee, per family, not per member.
Mr. Swischer, Mrs. Schellman, Mr. Gaskin, and Mrs. Hamel look forward to working with the kids this year.
