8 Effective Homemade Home Removal Treatments
Despite irreproachable hygiene, your children may end up with lice due to the hundreds of children attending their school. Here are some home treatments to get rid of head lice.
This year, try one of these home treatments to get rid of head lice.
1. Use a medicated shampoo to eliminate lice
Use a lice shampoo and leave it in your hair or your child’s hair for 10 minutes. It is a long time to spend in the shower, so you may prefer to shampoo yourself by taking a bath. So you can read or listen to music while the shampoo is doing its job.
2. Rinse your hair with vinegar to get rid of lice
After rinsing the shampoo, rinse again with a solution half water, half white vinegar. Vinegar helps dissolve the bodies of dead nits. Rub vigorously, then rinse your hair a few times to dispel the smell.
3. Try oil and vinegar as a lice treatment
Use lice shampoo ten days later. If you still do not get results, mix half a cup of vinegar with half a cup of olive oil. Approximately an hour before bathing or showering, apply this mixture to the hair, particularly massaging the scalp. Put on a shower cap. After one hour, remove the cap and take a shower by washing your hair with an ordinary shampoo.
4. Kill lice with mayonnaise
If you are wary of synthetic pesticides, you may suffocate lice while you sleep. First, saturate the hair and scalp of mayonnaise, then put on a shower cap. The next morning, the lice should be dead. Unfortunately, you will not be able to choke the lice eggs; you will still have to remove them by hand.
5. Apply petroleum jelly on the hair to remove lice
Petroleum jelly can have a stifling influence on stray lice. Apple name layer of petroleum jelly to the scalp then cover with a shower cap. Leave it on all night. In the morning, use baby oil or mineral oil to remove petroleum jelly and lice that will come with. Repeat several nights in a row. (Small warning: it could take much shampoo before removing all the oil jelly from your hair!)
6. Try Essential Oils as a Lice Treatment
Essential oils can kill lice and help soothe the itching. There are several different “recipes.” An effective combination consists of 20 drops of tea tree oil, ten drops of rosemary oil and 15 drops each of lemon (or thyme) oil and lavender oil that you mix with four spoons Vegetable oil. Rub the mixture on your dry hair, cover your head with a plastic shower cap, and then wrap your head in a towel. An hour later, remove towel and hat, shampoo well and rinse.
7. Quarantine all hair-related matters
When a family member has lice, separate all the combs and brushes. Make sure that no one is in contact with hats, scarves, hair ribbons, etc., that have been worn by the person concerned.
8. Sterilize tissue
After the lice treatment, wash the clothes, bedding and other washable linen used by the affected person in warm, soapy water. Seal non-washable items in a plastic bag for one week (or three days in the refrigerator).
